Ms K Pierce

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2004 and completed a senior management course at the University of Pretoria. 

Career highlights include:

• A five-year tenure as Head of Finance at the Competition Commission where she obtained the award for Middle Manager of the Year in 2006.

She joined GEMS in 2007 and was instrumental in placing the Scheme's financial management function on a sound footing.

She is responsible for the implementation and processing of financial, accounting and administrative requirements as well as the management of Scheme finances.  She also oversees all procurement, audit as well as actuarial activities of the Scheme.
