Dr Stan Moloabi

Dr Moloabi is a qualified medical practitioner.  He also completed a certificate in Private Health Sector Funding at the Centre for Continuing Education at Pretoria University.

Dr Moloabi commenced his career as a General Practitioner, running his own private practice for twelve years.

Career highlights:

• joining the  private healthcare funding industry as a Medical Advisor where he moved up the ranks to a management position at a managed care organisation before joining GEMS.

Dr Moloabi joined GEMS in 2009 and has set up the Scheme's Healthcare Management Division.  He is responsible for improving the Scheme's clinical risk profile and containing the claims experience. He also oversees the Scheme's managed care services, tariff negotiations, reimbursement arrangements and the establishment of the Scheme's healthcare networks.
