GEMS pays tribute to the late Honourable Collins Chabane, Minister of Public Service and Administration
The Board of Trustees of the Government Employees Medical Scheme (GEMS) is shocked and deeply saddened by the untimely passing of the Honourable Collins Chabane, Minister of Public Service and Administration.
"We truly regret the loss of this special human being who was a valued part of GEMS. We wish to offer our most sincere condolences to his loved ones, in particular to his wife, Mrs Mavis Chabane and his children" said Mr Zava Colbert Rikhotso, Chairperson of GEMS.
Mr Rikhotso goes on to say, "Minister Chabane's death is painful for those who knew him as family. It is also a great loss to our country and one that we are all mourning. As a political leader and a dedicated servant to the people of South Africa, Minister Chabane played an integral role in providing a voice to the communities he served."
"Minister Chabane will forever be remembered. Our hearts go out to those who loved him, his friends, and his colleagues," states Mr Rikhotso.
