Wellness Screening Days

GEMS has introduced Wellness Screening Days in departments, effective from 1 May 2009.

Healthcare professionals will be available to personally discuss health history and to perform medical screening tests. Your results will be discussed with you and you will receive advice on what further steps to take to prevent or minimise health problems.

The following voluntary tests will be done at the screening sessions:

• Blood pressure.
• Blood sugar and cholesterol.
• Weight and height, with body mass index.
• Waist circumference.

Your information and test results are confidential and will not be provided to any Government Department or its officials.

Information brochures will also be provided on topics such as smoking, exercise and weight control.

You do not have to book for your wellness screening, as healthcare professionals will be waiting for you at the venue. Head and neck massages will also be provided to all employees.

HR Practitioners can book Wellness Screening Days through the existing request procedure for GEMS presentations. Requests can be made by emailing [email protected] or through one of our marketing representatives.
