It is important to note that GEMS has a specific dispute process that you have to follow to lodge a complaint.

All medical schemes are required to have an independent Dispute Committee where members' disputes may be heard. Members can lodge complaints through the GEMS Dispute Resolution Process if they are unsatisfied with a decision taken by the Scheme.

Complaints can be emailed to us at [email protected] and if all efforts to resolve an issue with GEMS fail, you can then submit a Dispute to the Dispute Committee or your complaint to the Council for Medical Schemes' Complaints Unit by post, fax, email or online at www.medicalschemes.com
