International Fraud Awareness Week 11- 17 November

Protect what is yours

Statistics show that at least 10% of medical scheme claims are fraudulent, which means that an estimated R60 billion in fraudulent claims are paid out yearly in the medical schemes industry. This has a direct impact on you as it is your contributions that fraudsters are draining.

According to the Ombudsman report released in March 2012, the highest number of fraud cases are for claims charged for services not rendered. As a member you need to be vigilant and constantly check if the claim statement sent to you on a monthly basis is accurate.

Do not be a statistic. If you become aware of any fraudulent activities being committed, report it immediately.
