As a GEMS member, now's the opportunity to become more involved in making a difference in the world around you and planting that seed of giving, and nurture it to grow.

At GEMS we believe that making a difference is not just about donating funds; it's about getting involved too!

Competition: Your nominated Corporate Social (CSI) charity  could win GEMS's support!

As a member of the GEMS family, we need your input on which CSI charity you would like us to support.  The best member nominated community project/CSI charity will be supported by GEMS! Submit your suggestions by 30 November 2014 to [email protected]. Quote your membership number, a summary of the CSI charity, its impact in the community and how GEMS's support will benefit the beneficiaries.

Competition rules

Terms and conditions
By entering into the "Help GEMS make a difference", entrants agree to the rules set out below: 

• This competition is limited to residents of South Africa, with the exception of the following people: GEMS Staff and their family as well as service providers, and persons under the age of 18 years.
• Only members of GEMS are allowed to enter the competition.
• The competition commences on 1 April 2014 and ends on 30 November 2014. No entries received after 31 October 2014 will be considered.
• All entrants must hold a valid South African identity document and must be a GEMS member in good standing.
• To enter the competition the participants need to submit their suggestions by 30 November 2014 to [email protected] and quote your membership number, a summary of the CSI charity, its impact in the community and how the GEMS support will benefit the beneficiaries.
• The winner will be selected based on the best CSI charity.
• The winner will be contacted within 30 days after the competitions closes.
• If GEMS, the organisers of the competition are unable to reach any of the potential prize winners within 30 days of their name and CSI initiative being selected, for whatsoever reason, including incorrect telephone numbers or inoperative telephone numbers, such winner will be disqualified and a runner up finalist will be deemed the potential winner subject to the terms and conditions herein.
• The judges' decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The CSI charity support is not transferable and no substitution or cash redemption is permitted.
• By entering this competition you authorise GEMS, the promfoter, to collect, store and use (not share) personal information of entrants for communication or statistical purposes.
• The winner or participants may be required to take part in publicity for broadcast or publishing purposes however, they are at all times able to decline such request, which is conditional upon their agreement to take part in such publicity. Winners or participants that take part in any publicity will not be entitled to any payment or other remuneration for such publicity or otherwise.  All publicity and other materials will be the sole property of the promoter.
