If you apply to have your baby registered on your membership within 60 days of the date of birth, the baby will be registered as from the date of birth. This also applies to adoptions.
If you apply after 60 days of the baby's date of birth, the baby may be registered from the first of the month in which you applied for registration.

Please ensure that you register your baby within 60 days of birth or adoption to enjoy medical aid cover for you baby from the day he or she is born. Please note that a copy of your baby's birth certificate is required should you wish to register your newborn baby.
