GEMS Mobi statements

What would you give to save the planet?  More than 40% of all tropical forests have been destroyed and an acre is lost every second... to ensure the sustainability of the planet a little goes a long way, which is why we launched the GEMS mobi statements.

Since August 2011, GEMS members have the option to receive claim and contribution statements on their WAP- enabled cellphones (Your phone is WAP-enabled if you can access the Internet). If you have made the choice to switch to receive your statements on your cell phone, you will receive a link from GEMS to click on. When you click on that link, you will be able to view your confidential claim or contribution statement immediately.

You can choose to receive these statements on your cell phone by visiting the GEMS website www.gems.gov.za and selecting "Login" (located at the top right of the web page), select Member Online, enter your login details (membership number and password - register  by clicking the register button if you have not created a password).  Select "Comms Preference" and you can opt to have your online statements sent to your cell phone. You can also call GEMS on 0860 00 4367 to let us know that you would like to receive your statements on your cell phone.

You will recall that in the previous edition of Facets, 500 lucky readers stood a chance to win one of 500 Blackberry Curve cell phones by simply indicating if they would like to receive their statements on their cell phones only. We received in excess of 55,000 entries and the lucky winners will be announced shortly.
