Access and manage your benefits anywhere, anytime with these convenient self-help tools:

Give us a call: Simply dial 0860 00 4367, press 3 (three) for members, then press 1 (one) for the self-service facility. Now listen to the voice prompts to get the information you need.
Check via SMS: Send an SMS to 33489 with the keyword "Benefit", your member number, benefit category and dependant code (find this on the back of your member card). Leave no spaces after the commas. For example: Benefit,0001414,GP,01 (each SMS will cost you R1.50).
Get online: Visit www.gems.gov.za, click on the ‘Sign in' tab at the top of the page and then sign in using your member number and PIN. If you do not have a PIN, simply register for one by clicking on ‘Register now' and using your membership number, a four-digit PIN of your choice and your ID number.
Mobile check on GEMS DotMobi: Open your internet browser on your WAP-enabled cellphone, type in m.gems.gov.za and choose "Member Online" and login using your member number and PIN.
